CaLLLendar.com Press Release

http://calllendar.com/

Being a member of a Greek Letter Organization is a tradition that is very much a reminder of college days of old. For many people, this tradition also remains a part of their everyday existence after they leave college and move on into adult life. This is uniquely the case within the African American community where it is very much an institution that is passed down from generation to generation and is very much a part of the legacy of the African American culture. Even for those that are not a part of any one of the major organizations themselves, there is an identification and connection to the heritage involved with the fraternities and sororities that seeps over into the mainstream culture within the community.

Now, for the first time in a "Combined & Coordinated" effort, a nationwide "Network Calendar" of social and community events that are presented throughout the year by the major Black Greek Letter Organizations. CaLLLendar.com is the first of its kind to be both an online resource used to promote community and social events along with providing a comprehensive directory of their organizational chapters . . . all absolutely free to its members.

In caLLLendar.com all data is zip code based and can be found for any 5 number zip code ranges in the United States . The website is completely automated and so therefore allows events to be immediately updated as they are entered into the system. There is also a verification process that verifies the authenticity of each one of the chapters being entered.

The website creator is an experienced web programmer and Brother of Kappa Alpha Psi by the name of Drew Brown. He and many of his family members are involved in the fraternities and sororities. Through caLLLendar.com he hopes to play a part in the continued importance of Black Greek Letter Organizations to the community by helping visitors of the site to realize the true depth of each one of the organizations and how through the presentation of their events, they continue to play a part of the fabric of the African American culture.

The official launch of caLLLendar.com was January 2006. It has already built an extensive database of 37733 members and the database continues to grow. Visitors to the site should expect to find as much information as possible on how to use the site and how to be guided from one benefit to the next. If you would like immediate information about the network or becoming a sponsor, please contact us.
